    ULAR’s Experimental Surgery core is located in Wiseman Hall. A variety of animals, including pigs, dogs, rabbits, and sheep, are routinely used for surgical animal models of heart failure, wound healing, GI disease, etc. The core offers: 1) a full-time staff of veterinary technicians 2) state-of-the-art operating rooms 3) associated support areas (pharmacy, prep area, and post-op recovery) 4) extensive surgical support equipment (fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and laparoscopic setups) 5) an extensive training program for health professionals from all over the world
