The RISSR assists investigators with locating, accessing, retrieving and interpreting cancer incidence, mortality, survival and population-based data. The RISSR can provide investigators with critical information needed for grant applications and reports, including disease-specific population estimates of cancer incidence, mortality and/or survival from local, county, state or national data. Additionally, the RISSR provides expanded retrieval, interpretation and consultation for population-based investigations (e.g., information concerning the potential composition of study groups with or without additional criteria, such as race, ethnicity and gender)
The RISSR assists with regulatory processes for non-therapeutic studies. This encompasses assistance with Clinical Scientific Review Board submissions, Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions, amendments and continuing reviews, if needed, and other regulatory oversight. RISSR staff members have vast experience preparing submissions and understanding the regulatory process.
